ICC Cricket World Cup 1992 Introduction
In 1992 World cup,Would Pakistan have won the tournament more easily If Waqar Yunus would have been fit?
I remember Waqar was Struglling With The Bounce On the bouncy\hard Australian Pitches in the practice matches before the Cup.But his replacement was not much of a bowler at all! Pakis were lucky to reach the semis,but when it mattered most they played brilliant cricket (Inzi made history & Wasim’s telling spell in the Finale)I know the answer to my question is yes.But i need your thoghts & analysis.And Does anyone know Waqar’s ODI record in subsequent years in Australia? Still they had formidable Attack in Wasim Akram,Aqib Javed,Imran Khan & Mushi, The Leggie!Would 2 W’s have destroyed Batting lineups? Or Did they need Waqar That much in 1992 World Cup? everyone know that when 2 W’s are on fire then no body in the world could challenge them if waqar had played the 1992 worlcup then it had a great impact on the tournament but hos absence does’nt make any difference bcoz pakistan had a great bowling attack……….
